I'm an experienced programmer and want/need to learn JavaScript/Node.js. The problem I always had with learning new languages is tutorials are always, slow, toy-ish examples, and are tailored for novice programmers. I learn by programming best instead of learn to program. I don't know how to design a good project for JavaScript/Node.js because I don't know enough of the key features in order to design a project to take advantage of the language's paradigms. Any experienced JavaScript/Node.js programmers can design a small project (10-25 hours) to help me get into it by using the internet documentation, instead of a tutorial?
P.S. A well designed project would take advantage of data-structures and algorithms.
