Which libraries for a Node.js web browsing bot

I would like to make a Node.js app that does the following :

  • Logs into a website via a login form with submit button
  • Accesses a page on said website as a logged in user to get the content
  • Check if the page has changed since last time it was checked.

This is for the website of a school I am trying to get into, they have a page that lists available dates for a meeting with the school staff, you have a list of days to chose from, however every session as of now is full and I think there is a high demand for one, so I would like to be ready when I need to...

I haven't done this kind of work before, I do know how to program in Node.js, but I haven't ever tried any headless browsers like zombie.js or phantom/casper and I would like to know if anybody can help me find :

The most appropriate library (also easy to get started with if possible) for login into a site and grabbing a page (source or even picture, w/e) to check if it has changed since last time.

Any help is appreciated, thank you.
