Does Authentication process always proceeds to Authorization process?

If I don't use roles in my application, and uses passport-local and passport-jwt for authentication, does it affect my program with unauthorized error?

I know it is very silly question may be for the one who is reading but I need to get clear on this.Please anybody who is willing to clear this doubt can answer me.

I know that, Authentication is about the identity of the user. Authorization is about who can use what.
