Is there a way to find if a npm module is used in any of my project dependencies or it dependencies

Am using a npm module X in my project, But when I do a gulp task, I could see X module loaded even before my app is loaded.

Is there a way I can find if module X is used in any of my project dependencies or in its dependencies. A regular search dint help.
